This beauty is called a Fairy Spud. It’s so tiny but actually very visible in the woods right now, the dead leaves are a perfect backdrop that enables the eye to catch the color from above. A good lesson to remember for when I am painting, “it doesn’t take much”.

There were some new things that popped up in the past few days, like the Purple Trillium. The others pictured I needed to come home and try to identify. I am still not sure of the American Cress, I will be able to confirm it when it blooms. I’ll go back out in a few days.
